QOTD #11: Learn or Die

Today’s quote of the day is from Steven Kotler. In analyzing what it will take to remain personally and professionally competitive in the future, at the top of the list of core competencies to master is the ability to learn more than others can, faster than they can.

Back when I was attending college (2012-2016), information was already traveling fast enough that by the time I was 2 years into my 4 year degree, what I had learned in my first year was already outdated.

As it stands, human knowledge is doubling every 13 months, and that rate is increasing exponentially. If we think we’re suffering from information overload now, short of completely detaching ourselves from the Internet, it definitely isn’t going to get any easier going forward.

In an effort to learn some practical ways to cope with the information tsunami we all will soon face, I HIGHLY recommend you read Steven Kotler’s book, The Rise of Superman: Decoding the Science of Ultimate Human Performance
