QOTD #26: Planting in the Garden of Your Mind Part 1

“A man’s mind may be likened to a garden, which may be intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild; but whether cultivated or neglected, it must, and will, bring forth. If no useful seeds are put into it, then an abundance of useless weed seeds will fall therein, and will continue to produce their kind.”

-James Allen

Never underestimate the power of thought. Soon, with enough intensity and frequency the thoughts we think become things.

As the Hebrew proverb says, “as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

If you haven’t read James Allens classic book on the power of though, As a Man Thinketh, I HIGHLY recommend that you do!

Each thought we think, is likened to a seed planted in the garden of our minds. When the seedlings of thought are watered by the substance of other thoughts, they begin to bloom and blossom.

Therefore, we should be more careful to pay mind to the thoughts we think. Beautiful thoughts bare good fruit, ugly thoughts bare bad fruit.

Begin feeding your mind the fertilizer of postive, optimistic, beautiful, thoughts and you will soon be rewared with a great harvest of inspiration and motivation to navigate life and transcend circumstance in life.
